Nicole started as a practicum student from the University of Alberta. After her practicum she finished with a Bachelor of Physical Education Degree with a concentration in Sport Performance and Physical Activity. She has an increased interest in Athletic Therapy. Previously Nicole attended Red Deer College in the Faculty of Kinesiology. In 2004 she received her Diploma in Kinesiology & certification as a Certified Fitness Consultant . She also holds certification in First Aid, CPR (Level C), "Sports First Aid" and "Athletic Taping and Strapping". Nicole was the therapist for Red Deer College Queens hockey team in 2003-04 season. That same year, Nicole did a practicum at RDC Athletic Therapy Clinic & at COLLEGIATE. Nicole grew up in Lacombe area and Graduated from Lacombe Composite High School in 2002. She was a dancer for 16 years and competitive for 11 years in all dance disciplines.
